I just got finishing shutting down my brother in the madden 10 demo, and I have to say if not for all pro football, this would never be possible. I have been playing football videogames since 10 yard fight, and generally have been average at best. now I know why. I really didn't know how read coverages and use coverages to hide my weaknesses. I guess I learned more playing all pro football because i didn't get so angry playing the game(I've broken a controller or two because of this.). Basicaly, I just learned which alignments were benifical to run certain plays.
I thought the pass ruch was flawed, till I played my bro. You can get a decent pass rush head to head, you just can't continually blitz and not get burned, because players will now break tackles, and the difference in speed was noticeable. Against good teams you will have to pick your posion against good teams. Mostly though it felt more like a chess match, than arcade football that always made my skin crawl. I just may buy this one. If the teams play their real play styles, then I'm sold.
Next gen madden where have you been, we've all missed you.
P.S. I got around 4 or 5 picks, kicked 4 or 5 field goals, a couple sacks, 30 to 40 rushing yards, and one touchdown on offense. Final score 17 to 0, really 24 to 0 because on the last play of the game I picked him off with james harrison and was almost had another sure touchdown when he presses the guide button. LMAO!! Sim football is back.
