In an overtime thriller, the San Diego Chargers emerge victorious on a screen pass that Danny Woodhead broke for a 67 yard score.

The game started out as a potential blowout after the Chargers to a 10-0 lead with 7:05 remaining in the 2nd quarter on a 4 yd touchdown pass to Antonio Gates from Brad Sorensen.

But Charger turnovers kept the Cowboys in the game. With less than a minute remaining in the first half, Kellen Clemens was intercepted by Morris Claiborne when he stepped in front of Seyi Ajirotutu. 41 yards later, the Cowboys closed the gap to 10-7.

Lance Dunbar scored midway through the 3rd quarter to give the Cowboys a 14-10 lead, but the Chargers answered back with a score of their own 7 minutes later.

Tied at 17 late in the fourth quarter, San Diego drove the length of the field, but was stalled at the 1 yard line. An 18 yard field goal left them ahead 20-17 with 1:47 remaining and the Cowboys down to 1 timeout. The Cowboys were able to answer however, thanks to an untimely facemask penalty at the end of a 16 yard completion that the left Cowboys inside field goal range. A 22 yard field goal as time expired sent the game to overtime.
