It seems like madden year after year continues to say that they are making vast improvements to the game. Although this is true in certain instances I feel like it is the minor things they keep on forgetting about. Why do we love nba 2K so much? Sure it provides exceptional graphics that has you double backing to see if it is a Real game or not...but it is also because of the ampostphere and the way the accessories make the players look like themselves. Not to mention the characters that each guy is...when Draymond makes a huge play Draymond acts as though Draymond would..or if curry makes a clutch play he acts as though curry would. You feel like your in the game and the emotions will sometimes overtake you. And this is where I think EA fails in this regard.
Accessories

Why can't they get this right?!?!??
Year after year we see generic looking accessories on players...and don't get me wrong they are taking steps in the right direction(new shoes,gloves,etc) it still feels like they are screwing us over. My biggest pet peeve is WHY DO THE ARM SLEEVE GO ALL THE WAY UP TO THE PLAYERS PADS!!!!! Almost no player has this in the nfl! It's almost like EA sports is just screwing with us to make us buy another game next year. I can see the headline now and I quote for next year " We have updated the arm sleeve to the way they look in the nfl now" Quick go buy this game because the arm sleeve actually looks legit now. Mouthpieces are my next stigma. The game NFL 2k5 had these in it....NEWS FLASH!!! That was almost 14 years ago and yet EA sports can't seem to make this available.

Lack of true personality
As I mentioned earlier the players in nba 2k have a vast amount of personality in the game, from things such as the players all the way down to the meaningless fans in the stands. When there is a tense moment in the game you absolutely feel the fans will go crazy and they will do chants and the nba players get into it and the commentary gets into...I know I could go on and on about how this part of the game is superior. I do not feel that madden does the nesecery things to accomplish this. I have gone to basketball games and I have gone to football games and the environment is drastically differnt. An nfl game is 3x louder and crazier in real life. This is not the case in the game. When there is a tense moment in the game, quite frankly you would never feel the difference between the first quarter and the fourth quarter. The players don't react any differnt, the fans don't act any differnt, the commentary doesn't act any differnt. This is the NFL for goodness sake. You have the money from mut packs and also from people buying the game. Do better EA (smh)......

Conclusion

This is just touching the surface on many issues that are with this game...imagine a world where 2K sports doesn't lose the contract to the nfl and is far superior to any nfl game created by EA. Putting EA sports out of business for good. Sound off people!

I agree with you. Now I have to admit the team this year is trying to get somethings better. But you hit the nail on the head.

Three areas of improvement madden needs like right now,

1. Animations, collisions, when playing NBA 2k the game immerses you will all the different out comes you can have with players, the ball, the court, and basket. No two games seem the same. Imagine that in Madden in a sports were collisions are welcomed and enjoyed by the fans. That would tremendous immersion to the game.

2. Actually only going to be one other aspect that bugs the mess out of me. Weather and lighting, we have racing games with 20 to 40 cars racing on a track that has dynamic weather and lighting. Imagine a Madden game where you have to watch weather forecast leading up to weekly game to determine your gameplay. Weather and the NFL go hand in hand some of the most memorable games in history involve weather. Ice Bowl, Fog Game, Tuck Rule game the list goes on. But in Madden none of this is possible because we have the same type of weather like rain the whole game no variance like drizzle, blinding downpour, fog etc.
