First of all thanks EA for the post, I guess its the least you can do. I guess if you didn't post this none of us would know what to do. So thanks for going over the top and making it so easy for customers to use your product.
Let's all imagine for a second, Apple releases a new phone. And instead of it working correctly and being user friendly. Every new buyer has to scour the message boards for instructions. And if they didn't think to look on the message boards or didn't know which ones to go to, they would just be poop out of luck. It's hard to imagine, because it would never happen.
That is exactly what we are all doing today, isn't it? I like to consider myself educated (2 college degrees, 3 securities licenses) and I'm still a little fuzzy on this junk.
What is the difference between a web persona and a PS3 persona or whatever. And who cares? Why are they different? Why was I able to sign into TeamBuilder with the wrong persona and create 25 teams, only to find out in a freakin' BLOG that I did it all wrong, and I have to re-create those teams using some other persona that I didn't even know existed? What am I looking for here? Tyler Derden?
Shouldn't EA be the ones going through the process to allow these other personas to upload teams into the game. Shouldn't EA have disallowed these crazy wrong personas from even being able to LOG IN to TeamBuilder in the first place? A simple message would have been handy, something like this "please use a PS3 or XBOX persona to log into TeamBulder". I think that's not asking too much.
By the way these are all rhetorical questions, don't feel like you have to answer them EA. I know they are difficult.
It's just ironic that we were supposed to be rewarded for reserving the game early. Rewarded with TeamBuilder. Yet the only instructions that we really needed were tucked away in some BLOG. EA ask yourselves, is that anyway to release one of your biggest products to the market?
But thanks for this BLOG. I'll get right on it, put in some more hours. Unbelievable.
