I can't front ... I was a Live head and refused to believe that 2K was a better basketball game. I know , I know.... how dumb can I be, but I was brainwashed. I 'm a diehard basketball fan and with NBA Elite not coming out I brought 2K11. Plus MJ was on the cover so I had to pick it up. And I must say that this is like a basketball fan's heaven. I mean not only is the greatest player ever featured , but a ton of other modes are available and the gameplay is realistic. I see why EA backed down this year. 2K made the best sports game ever. And I'm addicted , every possesion is key to winning I love it. Its not perfect from what others say regarding only play , but as a player that rarely goes on line its perfect for me. Madden take notice if you want to continue your reign ... 2K has taken the crown and I will never go back to EA ... I have found my basketball get away ... my place to go when I want to get away ... my so-called healthy addication if that exists ... I applaud 2K for making a great game and raising the bar ...

I'm right there with ya man, I just cant seem to get this game out of my PS3. I've tried playing some other games here and there but before I know it, there I am firing up 2k11 again. Like you, I hardly play sports titles online so having a solid franchise (and even MyPlayer) is important and this one is great. Its good to be a gamer!

yea man EA will definetly have you brainwashed into believeing that they make the best sim game around and thats not the case. hopefully everyone else will see what EA is and how they do business because a few years ago i was the same way. i wouldn't pick up and play 2k for anything but once i played 2k8 i didn't look back. i commend you

I was another EA disciple. I even overlooked NFL 2K5 & went with Madden. I was so certain that EA were at the top of the game. Now EA are the source of much of my gaming frustrations. Here's hoping 2K get the NFL license.

Welcome aboard fam. I actually went back to Live 10 last yr because I was so disappointed with 2K, but I'm glad they came back the way they did, it truly is a classic

I too have seen the light. But the 2K light only came back on at 2k11 for me. Long time ***** of overly complex controls. 2K11 met me halfway and the rest is history.

2k gave us the best sports game ever.
EA gave us fiddle sticks.

Not hatin' the developer, just hatin' the direction they decided to go in.

I'm in the same boat, I want a sports title, or any game, to have a solid campaign/dynasty/career mode and 2k11 has several great options. I've only done one of the Jordan Challenges, but so far My Player has been a blast! I hate that my guy is so bad, but at the same time I'm coming to like the feel of being a big team player. This game won't be leaving my 360 for quite some time.

Welcome, I've been playing these games since NBA2k on the Dreamcast, over the years there's been ups and downs, back when patches didn't exist for consoles there where years when the game was great but would freeze every few games, 2k3 for xbox I think it was, NBA 2k5 wasn't a very good game, I bought Live 05 that year which was a pretty cool game. But they took the game to a whole new level with 2k7 and the introduction of signature shots. 2k11 is IMO the same type of jump as 2k6 to 2k7. The playbooks and player styles just makes it all so authentic, I'm still being blown away daily by the attention to detail.

I'm hoping to all forms of higher powers that the NFL goes away from exclusivity after the current deal is up.

On that note there should definitely be a petition started so that maybe the NFL will take into consideration what it's fans want.

With all your testimonies, I guess it wouldnt be impossible for 2K11 to grab the sports game of the year award this season. Considering all the talks and the forums visits this game has. I mean, just look around what sports game they speak and play about most these days. In OperationSports.com alone, 2k11 got more than a hundred or two visits each time I login compared to other sports games now which only go about less -50 people, average visit per login.
LOL at OP. Funny how long you figure things out til finally. Now you know what 2K11 is.

a truly great game. And I also go back to dreamcast days of 2ksports...i am a show guy in baseball but i really think 2k will make a comeback in that areana as well. I just hope they get nfl back. I remember when 2k5 came out and my buddy wouldn't buy it because he was a madden head. I went out and paid the 20 dollars and gave him a copy of 2k5 and he couldn't believe the gameplay and presentation he was getting for a 20 dollar game. I brought three buddies that game in 05, and they are all now playing it with updated rosters...lol

yeah I agree. I was a Live fan but once 2k came out.. i actually started playing it from the beginning. I've been telling my friends to switch and they all insisted that Live was better. Im still a Madden fan but this years Madden 11 im not to crazy about. If 2k gets and NFL licence and make a football game that moves like the people move in NBA 2k... Madden is going to be in big trouble
