First and foremost, I'm loving Madden 2011. But if EA is going to have it's first ever repeat since madden 04 and madden 05 they have to perfect, not add or subtract or make slight changes,...But perfect these things.

1. Ratings system- in my humble opinion, this is the most important feature in Madden. It is the system from which franchise mode is built and the system which speaks sim. There is a clear distinction between tier b, tier a, and superstar players in the league. I should feel this when playing future madden titles in every position, not just quarterback. Also, when they fix the ratings system it will make the highly underrated game flow/ game plan feature that much more important. You would seriously have to game plan around shutting down the other teams weapons and setting up a system to minimize their impact.

2. Locomotion 2.0- if you ever played the ea big title NBA street, you've experienced the pure ecstasy of stringing together move combinations. Although ea made huge strides this year, there is still a level of disconnect that is missing from the right analog stick to the player model. This is where art and a high programmer skill set has to come together. Like I said, in my previous post we need to feel and be at one with our stick moves, and not just at running back, but from every position on the field. I like what Wang is doing with 2ks animation system and I'm confident Ian is taking note.

3. Install NFL head coach 09 for the franchise mode, both online and off.

4. Do away with rookie, pro, all pro, all madden. It should be only two modes, arcade and sim.

There you have it Ian! Thats all we need. Just keep in mind to balance stick skills and ratings similarly to
how the old school free throw meter would cycle quicker if you have Shaquille, but slower if you have Nash.
You could make a free throw with Shaquille if you had the skills, but it would be a lot tougher. Feel free to sound off users on what you think could make Madden 2012 the best video game football title to date.
