As I watch my beloved Dallas Cowboys spiral into the laughing stock pile of the NFL, I immediately look for a culprit. Is the culprit an offensive line that has more holes in it than Swiss cheese....on second thought -molded Swiss cheese when you consider their age. Or maybe it's a lack of leadership from Mike Tomczak...uh i mean Tony Romo. Could it possibly be that Wade Phillips has proven time after time, that he is softer than a baby's bottom...... Or try this one on...What if our offensive coordinator actually had a clue on how to successfully coordinate an offense or manage a playbook! As I run through all these things and mull over in my mind why my Dallas Cowboys will finish 7-9, I become blinded by the light of who the culprit truly is........Jerry freaking Jones!
It was Jerry who decided to mess up a great thing with Bill Parcells by bringing in Terrel Owens. It was Jerry who didn't have the football know how to keep either Sean Peyton or Tony Sparano or Todd Haley on our coaching staff as the heir apparent to Parcells. It was Jerry who prematurely cut Flozell to save some pocket change considering we had zero depth at offensive line, it was Jerry who hired an offensive coordinator before hiring the head coach, it was Jerry who resigned Garret to a 3 million dollar contract after Garret called one of the worst games ever against the Giants during the 2007 playoffs, it was Jerry who drafted Dez Bryant instead of Bulaga ( o line) or Nate Allen (fs), and it will be Jerry's fault that the best team in the NFL wont even finish the season at .500. Just my two cents, now back to day dreaming about the potential greatness of 2k11.

Shad you hit the nail on the damn coffin buddy. As a life long Cowboys fan. ( Days of Bill Bates, Herschel Walker, Nate Newton, Jim Jeffcoat, Garry Cobb, to name a few ) I think Jason Garrett, is about as effective as an OC as he was as a QB for the Cowboys. The guy is a monster at holding ClipBoards and nothing else. He abandons the run way to early, for some God only knows why reason. About His play calling skills, I could find someone using gameflow from Madden to call a better game. If the Cowboys want to do anything in the Future. Jerry needs to hire a GM, and keep his nose off the field. Jerry you PAY players thats it bud...

We had a GM in the making in our former scouting director-Jeff Ireland. He's now the GM in Miami and head of football operations. You can add that to the list of bad ownership decisions. I campaigned heavily on the radio during the 2007 off season to bring in Cam Cameron who is currently the offensive coordinator at Baltimore. He specializes in a Norv Turner styled, down field/precise passing route system that is coupled with I-formation running plays. Back then, he was freshly fired from his head coaching duties for the dolphins, but at the same time I considered him a better fit for Wade considering, he was the Offensive coordinator at SanDiego when Wade was
defensive coordinator-with obviously Martin Schottenheimer being head coach.

We play dumb football. Period! From coaches all the way down to each idiot who blatantly blocks in the back on 3rd down after a big gain.
A Super Bowl at home???? Man I honestly wish people would just stop mentioning that all together.
