2k Jordan! An instant classic?

I think we are staring down the barrel of a significant moment in sports video gaming history. I'm getting a strange feeling that NBA 2k11 will be not only the greatest basketball game in history, but possibly the greatest and deepest sports game in history. I for one has shunned NBA 2k in recent history to play Live, but that demo has ignited a love for basketball video game hoops that's been hibernating since bulls vs blazers. So what do you guys think......Are we looking at an instant classic in October....

we surely are. I haven't been hyped liked this for a new release for some time. Very few games get credited with legendary status. NFL 2K5 & NHL 94 are a couple that spring to mind. NBA 2K11 will be added to that list I'm sure.

Trying to not get ahead of myself. 2k11 will be the greatest sport game of all-time if, and only if:

1) Game plays as advertise (basically like the demo with the modes)
2) Online works well (few to no lag)
3) Very few glitches

I got high hopes. I just hope they can live up to some of them.

Every year I have always bought nba live, but after playing the demo for 2k11, i'm hooked!

My feeling exactly...I think NBA 2k11 will be the first game since NFL 2k5 that will really get legendary status as one of the best sport games in history.

I feel sorry for EA this year, ever since the MJ announcement they didn't stand a chance with Elite competing against 2K11.

I want to believe... but I won't deem it the greatest of anything until I see how online play has improved.

Yeah if the retail's functionality is all there... best basketball title ever.
Could be a great era for gamers if they pull it off.

i think it will be consider one of the best game just because MJ and most likely we not going to see MJ on another basketball game ever again and doubt 2k is going to spend alot of money for MJ every year so, if i was fans i wld buy 2k11 to take advantage of using MJ and the legends. Just a thought! lol

This game may well be the GOAT of all sports games. The demo has me sooo excited for this game - even more excited than I have been for Madden. That's significant for me since I am a rabid football fan and barely watch basketball. However, Madden's mediocrity, combined with 2k's soaring excellence, has resulted in me being into basketball video gaming (through 2k) as my primary game. I did not even buy Madden nor NCAA this year. I will buy this game and FIFA and live in sports gaming nirvana.

So, my thoughts, NBA 2k11 will be the GOAT. They have put so much into the game. My expectations are high, and I fully anticipate the end product will exceed my expectations.
