The release of Madden NFL 25 will be here before we know it. With that in mind I wanted to talk about how to properly build a offensive passing attack. I was reading an excerpt written by Dan Gonzalez (SmartFootball.com) from his book http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/148...=operasport-20and thought about how we actually go about learning to pass in Madden. It usually consists of hopping into game and picking random plays, not having any success, and then wondering ... Read More

Would a Madden NFL 13 Offense work in the NFL?

It sounds crazy but I think it is a possibility.

A recent article over at www.thepostgame.com explained why more NFL teams need to stash away their faith and stick to the Chip Kelly mathematical approach when it comes to play calling.

The most interesting thing about the article is how similar Chip Kelly and the #2 Oregon Ducks run their offense compared to how I play Madden NFL 13.

Here is what I expect out of my passing plays.

-A quick read that must be defended against - typically a flat route or some type of quick pass out of the backfield ( ex. DAL- TE Out)

-A route that consistently beats man- any type of unbumpable is what we are looking for (ex. PA WR IN)

-The option to add protection based on defensive look- blue routes are the best but always have a option to keep in to block

- A route that gets to the 1st down ... Read More

DISCLAIMER: This was written for Madden 09 but the same concepts apply for ANY Madden game!

Today’s article might be something that you already do and it may be something that you have never thought of. Madden is not that different then football on Sundays. There are a few basics that we ALL must follow in order to be successful. Unfortunately I think that most of us are overseeing the effectiveness of understanding what we are actually doing. Predominantly the number one thought on ... Read More

Madden Bible Presents : EA Sports 20 Best Madden Ideas

Being young enough to still count my birthdays is a nice thing, but opening a new copy of Madden always increases the fun! Putting that disc in and seeing if the new features are just hype or actually game changers always adds to the excitement.

Each year the game must change and adapt from last years version. ... Read More

From XFactor in So Cal: When you have a play in your offense, but it slowly starts becoming less effective or overvalued, when do you ditch it or remove it from your scheme?

Z: Great question here, when developing a scheme, you should have your base play that you come out in. This gives your offense an identity and should dictate what you are trying to accomplish on offense. If you want to be a run first team, your base play won’t be a 5wr set.

Now, when you were labbing ... Read More

NO! 6'5 beast mode user safety Pat Watkins has been released by the Dallas Cowboys. This is a sad day for Madden Bible Nation! He was mighty slow, but boy could he swat the rock. Cowboys still have a very fast secondary and we will likely user the rookie safety (4th rounder) Akwasi Owusu-Ansah. Sad stuff

This was skipped in the 2nd roster update but a few notables includes LB Casillas heading back to the Saints. Has terrible overall but is very fast. They also had a little shuffle ... Read More

Today’s post will break down our favorite players to user and why we find them to be such gems. Without further ado, here are the top 11 user defenders in Madden 11.

11. Kenny Phillips- This Giant (pun intended) was becoming a force early in last season before losing out to injury. In Madden 11 he is back and brings a good combo of speed, size and hit power. With all the talk about the G-Men D-Line, this unique talent is often overlooked when thinking about the best user players in ... Read More

Stick Skills! Whose got em? They aren’t for sale. However, if you follow some basic football principles along with good Madden ideology even you can become a master of the analog.

Why do people struggle with stick skills?

Most new players think they aren’t good enough to play on any other spot than the d-line. When they play as the safety, they get exploited for long touchdowns ... Read More
