Ncaa 12= paris hilton....and by that i mean this, its pretty on the outside, ugly on the inside.

i have been holding off on this for quite a while, but i just cant hold my tongue anymore. what is Ea sports smoking?? like for real?

i was super excited to buy ncaa 12 after i saw alot of the videos and reviews about it. i pre ordered it. and picked it up day 1. it was unfortunately a disappointment once the game was in my hands. how this game got the reviews it got blows my effing mind! i really want to interview these people and and ask how this game was worthy of 9 out of 10.

the game is very pretty on the outside. player models are gorgeous. accessories are abundant. the 3d grass is an amazing touch. the hdr lighting= joygasm.

from the outside, this looks like something i wanna get to know better. it doesnt take much of my invested time to realize how horrible this game is. all the things we were told about the game that was spose to be new and great. are completely broken. i played ncaa 12 a ton the first week i had it. after that. i was back to black ops and madden 11. i didnt play the game for a month because of how aweful it is.

custom playbooks offer up some of the most annoying things i could ever imagine. every time i pick a play, there are always plays missing. i had the "zero plays show up and u hit a button and the players are stuck in a bunched formation thingy" happen to me on back to back plays. and 5 times in 1 half!!! I can not even express how frustrating this is.

perhaps the only thing more frustrating than the custom playbooks is the defense. you know these guys creating this game (which i am convinced do not know a d@mn thing about football and never even played it) talk about how they fixed the defense. well all i can see is how they didnt fix it. super linebacks are more super than ever before! not to mention super corners have been added. psychic dbs are present in the game. and its like the cpu almost always calls the perfect play to stop your play call on any 3rd down.

oh hey, wait... you remember how everyone complained and complained about play action in last years game. they even addressed it in a patch, yet it never really fixed anything. you remember that? well hey. a whole dev cycle later. and those fools making this game give us another year with broken play action.

oh and to top it off, hb screens hardly work now too. its like everytime i call a hb screen. the defense has the dt or linebacker spying the hb. so it always gets blown up.

i can see why defense is harder this year. more super linebackers, psychic db's, play action broken, hb screens hardly work. yea...i spose id pitch harder defense too!!

should i even get into offensive line play? how the ratings dont matter? how the ai of my offensive line has the intelligence of a 8 year old? they ignore blocking people, stand and dont move. i just dont get it.

am i really supposed to believe that while making this game. all the time put into playing this game. these devs didnt notice any of these things? no i think they did, didnt care to address them. its pretty clear 5 weeks later why ncaa12 wasnt on the floor at e3.

all ea cares about is getting paid. so they held the game back, let other idiots build up the excitement for this game. and watch as we consumers go spend our 65$ on this game that plays absolutely horrible. whats worse is that this game is only worth 20$ with all the problems it has..

and the ea releases the patch info coming out....do they address play action? nope. hb screens? nope. super linebackers? nope. psychic dbs? nope. they address some minor things that i bet 80% of ppl dont even notice or care about in game play.

the fact is i want to love this game. its gorgeous! but not matter how hard i try, no matter what i do. the more time i spend with it. the more i hate it. a-la paris hilton!

a change needs to be made. we cant keep listening to these guys who do not UNDERSTAND the game of football. they make like the game. they may see the fun factor in a football video game. but it is so freaking clear they didnt play the game. they dont get the game. they dont understand how football functions. they care more about adding custom entrances and talking about pageantry than anything else?? well guess what ben H, the pageantry dont mean jack shhh if the game sucks. oh and pretty sure everyone skips through those intros now. the intrigue factor lasted maybe 3 days.

what we need is a whole entire new ncaa team. ppl who know football. ppl who PLAYED football. and people who are going to focus on giving the community and consumers what they want.

i have no doubt madden will ship with some problems too..but i been playing madden demo on all pro. and i have been having way more FUN playing that then ncaa 12. and i dont feel screwed when i mess up. i feel like its on me

we need someone who will get the right ppl in there! heck ill do it! for free!!! i just want a good football game to play and without competition. this is the only way to get it done!!!

by the way if any of you for some reason like paris hilton, for more than her boobs and @ss, something is wrong with you....

I think the Paris Hilton comparison is a good one, and the game definitely has issues, at least pre-patch #2. The patch notes were disappointing to me, but I'm still holding out hope that they'll tune some of the issues you mentioned.

I do regret that I gave my $60 before letting the probems get ironed out (if they get ironed out). I've been buying this game long enough to know better, but every July I get excited and don't follow through.
