Cleveland disses Lebron.....ouch
Posted on November 5, 2010 at 08:29 PM.

I know I wrote a blog about Lebron before the season started. Since then, after all the feedback I got, I moved on...until I saw this. Can't imagine how this would make me feel, If I am Lebron and I saw this, I'd be hurt. I know I was a voice against his actions, but now I guess I must be voice against these kind of actions. LBJ, where ever you are bro, if you ever read this, I sympathize with you man. We all make mistake, we all deserve the chance to grow from those mistakes.

Michael Kay, the current Yankees commentator for the YES network and ESPN Radio host here in NYC on ESPN 1050AM said this about a situation Alex Rodriguez was going thru a couple of seasons back "Imagine your most private moments, the ones that caused you the most anguish and pain, being played out for the public to see."

This is about as bad a break up in sports as we have had in a while, and looks like Dec 2 will be interesting to say the least (Dec. 2 Mia @ Cle on TNT).

P.S. In case the link didn't embed here is the link, and yes you can watch it on your iPhone or whatever you have )

As about as impartial a fan of the NBA as you are going to get here. I have no team and no alliegance.

What he did was not the problem. I dont feel sorry for the city of Cleveland. Cleveland is not a small town. If a sports star means that much to them than they have much deeper rooted problems.

Like I said, what he did isnt the issue. How he did it on the other hand, was about the most egotistical, arrogant, selfish, self centered, and any other adjective of that ilk that you can think of. Right down to the actual announcement. "I am going to take my talents to South Beach.". The man achieved instant loser status with that one.

It makes me wonder whom is his camp was dumb enough to think this up. I mean seriously, he, I am sure is souronded by a group of young males black or white, I dont know and dont care, who think they are moguls and marketing genuises. Someone in his camp thought this would be great for his imagine.

I hope he fired that person or persons because the spectacle that he made of himself is going down as one of the worst marketing stunts of all time.

I havent even gotten to the most despicable part. The involvement of the kids. So nice of a guy to donate all the money made to the kids but it was NEVER about them. If it were he couldve given them money out of his pocket days before the show and then taken the money from the show to replace it.

My guess is that someone in his camp spoke up and said that what they were doing may make LBJ look like a raging egomanic and be bad for his image.

That is where the kids come in. Pawns in the whole thing. He trotted them out there like he was hosting a telethon for starving children.

How despicably heroic of him.

Sorry. Rant over.
