Post-Game Interviews
Alex Best (King's Head Coach): "This is a hard loss for our boys. I know they wanted to finish the month better than this, but it's stepping stones. We'll be fine next month and into the rest of the season. Just need to brush this loss off and keep going."
O.J. Mayo (Player Of The Game): "That was a difficult blow-out! I mean, we had to really work for it. Typically you just play well and they don't, and you get a 15 point win. But we had to actually work hard for that win."
Tyreke Evans (King's Role Player): "I think this game proves that some teams are spending practice time doing the wrong things. I mean, they were stealing balls with their back to the passer, making shots where they couldn't even see the basket, and faking struggles to draw fouls out of us. I mean seriously, with only 5 seconds left and a 10+ point lead they were still driving at us. I don't plan on losing to this team again."
Shepard's Review
"With The D All Over!" Kings Pick Up A Loss.
That headline says it all. The Kings were all over the Grizzles shooters, and yet they still made most of their baskets. Some spectacular plays from Utah to shut this game down. When you're draining thoughts the defense think they've shut down, it makes it hard to switch to offense. Kings were thrown off balance all game.
Grizzles are now 5-4
Kings are now 5-6

When you're draining thoughts the defense think they've shut down, it makes it hard to switch to offense. Kings were thrown off balance all game.
- Kings haven't shot this bad since the beginning of the season. 27/66 and 40% from the field.
- 8/24 from three. 33%. Why did the Kings keep shooting from there?
- Grizzles out-assisted, out-rebounded, and out-stole the Kings.
- Kings dominate the blocks again, 3-1.
- 13 fouls for the Kings and only 5 for the Grizzles. Does the NBA need to reconsider some of their officials?
- 36 points in the paint for the grizzles, 20 for the Kings.
- Tyreke Evans, who was fouled out late in the game, shot 5-11 from three and 8-15 overall, snagging a season high 22 points and 3 rebounds.
- Garcia struggled all game long, 0-2 from three and 5-11 from the field, only gettng 10 points.
- Thompson shows he is still a defensive threat, 6 rebounds and a block.
- Cousins continues his three-game struggle with only 3-7, 8 points, and 5 rebounds. You need him playing well to win.
- Jameer Nelson also continues to struggle, only 2-4 from beyond the arc, yet snagging 10 assists.
- O.J. Mayo was a hard force to stop, 16 points.
- Battier lifted the team well, a perfect game with 4-4, 2-2 from three, and 2-2 from the line. 12 points.
Grizzles are now 5-4
Kings are now 5-6
