Alex Best (King's Head Coach): "This game was a rough one, but I think we'll be able to bounce back and pick up more wins. It was a close at the end, but close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades."

Kobe Bryant (Player Of The Game): "This is one of those games where you just hope the other team doesn't capitalize on your mistakes. We didn't play good basketball, but luckily they didn't either. It just came down to who wanted it more."

Tyreke Evans (King's Role Player): "It's amazing. We were the better team the entire game, and yet we still lost. I guess that's just what happens when you give the ball to the only good player on your team and hope he doesn't f*** up."

Kings Out-Play The Lakers, Yet Still Lose.

A close one in Los Angeles tonight. It's true what the head-lines say. The Kings out-performed the Lakers on almost all fronts, yet still picked up the loss. Down the stretch, the Lakers got some luckly breaks, and a game-winning block against Jameer Nelson with Steve Blake sealed the deal. Let's break down today's game.

Kings took more shots, but the lakers shot 6% better from the field.
Lakers managed to out-assist and out-rebound the Kings, but that's about it.
Kings out-blocked, got more steals, less turnovers, more fast break and second chance points, and shot better from three point territory only to lose.
Tyreke Evans did a average job tonight. Shooting 6-15, yet 2-3 from beyond the arc to snag 16 points.
Eugune Jeter and Francisco Garcia, and Omri Casspi played better than the rest of the starting roster did.
Eugene Jeter got 7 assists, and 2 steals out of this game.
Francisco finally had a chance to shine this game. He shot 1-1 from 3, and snagged 4 rebounds and a steal for 9 points.
Omri Casspi showed he has some life in him, shooting a perfect 4-4.
DeMarcus Cousins was alive on the boards, getting 7 rebounds. But his scoring was low and he didn't get a single block.
Jason Thompson didn't do much better, only 3 rebounds and 8 points.
Jameer Nelson did not score well. 3-8 for only 7 points. He did, however, get 2 blocks, 2 steals, and a fantastic 10 assists.
Kobe Bryant had the worst game of his season so far. He only shot a mear 11-21 from the field, 1-5 from beyond the arc. He didn't get a SINGLE ASSIST...yet managed to score 23 points. Surprising scoring.
Wait, let me get this straight...Pau Gasol only got 2 points? And Derek Fisher only got 4 minutes of game-time? How did the Lakers win?

Lakers are now (8-2)
Kings are now (4-5)

He was. The Lakers kept dishing him the ball. He got most of his points when James Harden guarded Kobe, however once Evans was on him he missed a lot of shots.

And you're right. When Jameer is on, the rest of the Kings benefit. It's always easier to win when your point guard is having a good game.
