Kentucky holds off Oregon

Kentucky defeated Oregon 119 to 97 to claim the Orange County Shootout tournament title. The Oregon Ducks were in this game up until the 7 minute mark of the second half. The Wildcats went on a 15-2 run to seal the game. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had perhaps his best game as a NCAA athlete. Scoring 39 points and 5 blocks with 4 steals.Every starter on the Wildcats side, except for Marquis Teague, had at least 3 blocks. Each starter chipped in with more than 15 points as well. For the Ducks, Ryan Wilson scored 39 points and recorded 9 rebounds and 5 steals. Wilson tried to lead the Ducks back into the game later forcing up 3's which some went in. E.J. Singler had a career high 25 points and left the game late in the 2nd half with an ankle injury. Wilson attempted as many field goals as the Wildcats made as a team, 48. Kentucky had an astonishing 18 Blocks in this single game.
