Sports and gaming website Operation Sports (OS) has been hit by a number of lawsuits in recent days. After an upgrade to its’ services which added many Facebook functions, users have been thrilled and excited about some of the new changes. The new “OS Arena” has been very well received although maybe too much so. There have been complaints of addiction and obsession with the new site.
One OS member, roswell47, is now suffering from carpal tunnel. After posting many blogs and screenshots from his Warhammer collection, his wrist became so sore he hasn’t been able to paint his miniatures. He had to pull out of a highly anticipated battle at the end of the month and his dungeon cred has fallen to hobbit. He is suing for physical and emotional damages.
Two other members of the site became so obsessed with obtaining the highest overall scores in the new ranking system that it actually led to a physical confrontation between these old neighborhood friends. One of the members suffered a broken arm and is suing OS for physical damages as well as asking his overall score be frozen until he can resume posting.
Owner Steve Noah has directed all questions to his lawyer Arthur Vandelez. Mr. Vandelez angrily defended his client. “Unlike Rosie O’Donnell at the buffet table, these kids need to show some restraint. Get out of your mom’s basement and go get some fresh air!”
We will keep you updated on any further developments.
