How many quarterbacks have thrown for over 450 yards while shouldering the brunt of the blame for a loss?

Alex Smith did just that, connecting on a flurry of deep balls that gave him 468 passing yards for the day. Unfortunately for the 49ers, ... Read More

For a moment, it looked like the Kansas City Chiefs were going to let another one slip away in the fourth quarter.

I know I'm not the only one who enjoyed the official OS podcasts that TJ and crew put together a while back. They were well done and quite entertaining.

Sportznut02 started a thread in Steve's Forum asking about whether the official podcast would make a return. From the sounds of Steve's reply, it might be a while.

In lieu of the official podcast, does anyone have interest in helping me out with putting together a weekly unofficial version? I'm thinking 30-45 minutes ... Read More

As the OS community's frustration continues to grow over the direction that EA's NCAA Football franchise has taken, I think it is important to remember the power that each of us has as a consumer.

There has been an abundance of posts criticizing the NCAA dev team for some of the baffling mistakes that have surfaced over the past few weeks. Broken rosters, ineffective sliders, lack of a pass rush, uniform errors – these things have been discussed and critiqued ad nauseum. These posts ... Read More

I'm very excited to see one of my favorite players (and my favorite sportswriter, Joe Posnanski) featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated:

I was able to see Zack pitch last Friday in Kansas City. The guy is simply phenomenal. He has allowed just one run so far this season, and it was unearned. I would love to see a Royal start an All-Star game!

Hey everyone,

As a way to pass time before the madness begins on Thursday, I am doing a live broadcast of a simulation of the 2009 NCAA tournament thru College Hoops 2k8 on justin.tv. See it here:

justin.tv/rspencer86

Currently, Louisville is beating Alabama St. (play-in winner) 43-27 at halftime. Check it out!

And yes, this is pretty ridiculous.

Maybe it's just me, but lately the Rock Band 2 DLC has been pretty... disappointing. It seems they are releasing fewer tracks each week, and the tracks they do release have been from more obscure artists or bands I don't have any interest in.

While the Pearl Jam album is looming on the horizon, here are five DLC 3-packs I would love to see released in the meantime:

5. Queen
- Hammer To Fall
- Tie Your Mother Down
- Now I'm Here

Let's flash back to January 2006. It was my freshman year here at Mizzou and the first time I ever experienced the Mizzou-Kansas basketball rivalry in person. Coach Quin Snyder and the rest of the Tigers had stormed back in the final two minutes — the many Kansas fans at Mizzou Arena started the Rock Chalk Jayhawk chant before being silenced — to tie the game at 77.

A foul with .4 seconds left in the game put Kansas' Christian Moody on the line for two shots to win the game. Moody ... Read More
