87-28 I'm hitting a wall ( lost 5 of 7)

Even though I have a huge lead (12 games) over the Red Sox, but they're still in the hunt. I've lost one to the Rangers and the Blue Jays, a series to the Royals. I lost 3 out of 4 to the Royal. My hitting has gone into the tank. I wonder if there is something built in to cause slumps. I have roughly 46 games left in the season, but I am losing interest and games. I play at default level (veteran level,sliders untouched).

I've tried many different methods of hitting in the past week. PCI on, PCI off, stationary PCI,moving the PCI to a different locations and waiting for pitches only in that area, PCI+Hot Zones. I just went back to PCI off and timing my swing. Yeah since I am playing on the default and with the best ranked team in the game I get hits, but after 5 months I still really don't know how I get them. In hindsight I wish I had learned how to differentiate pitches, but I really wanted to do this season and play every game. The key has to be being able see the pitchers release point and know what pitch is being thrown and the location it's going in. By the time the ball is in leaves the pitchers hand it's too late. I looked at the Hitting tips video by "the Czar" that was made for last years game a million times. The pitch speed on the game is just too fast. Man I'm still late on Change-ups. :-).
I'm taking the next 2 nights off. I need to regroup. I will update my screen shots. The game can be fun but it just hasn't been fun this past week. I only play this game and Madden and I think another problem has been that it's getting close to Madden Release. I think with a couple of days off. I'll comeback to the game with a fresh perspective. I have not given up on the game just taking a couple of nights off.
