Yanks have passed the All-Star Break now 71-19
Posted on June 22, 2010 at 12:11 PM.
The Yankees are 71-19 now. I played through the All-Star Break last week. I played the HR derby and A-rod narrowly beat Ryan Howard. I played the All-Star Game as the AL. It was a 0-0 tie until the 7 inning. The player of the game was Texas Ian Kinsler with a 2 run blast in the bottom of 7. In that inning the AL hit 3 hrs total and added one more in the 8. The winning pitcher was Andrew Bailey of the A's he pitched the 7th and 8th innings.
The AL will have home field for the World Series.

Yankee news. Teixeira had come back down to earth with a batting average of .386. Posada though has raised his average to .392. A-rod had 37 Hrs. Marcus Thames has really helped off the bench (batting .330 with 14hrs) He DH's against lefties now.Gardner 15 steals. Andy Petite's 15-1 wins and Mariano has 26 saves. He blew a save against the A's so he has one loss.

My game skills have improved. While pitching I'm throwing the 12-6 curve better by mixing the amount of effort. Hitting as the season has gone on I'm more patient. My approach has changed a little. Now I aim up or down in the strike zone with the left stick.
I play at default with default sliders so the PCI is invisible but I slightly move it so the PCI stays in the strike zone. By splitting the strike zone intot two sections I can concentrate on that area. If the ball is strike but not in the zone I put the PCI I let it go even if I have 1 strike. Defensively If I have a base runner(s) on I set the 3rd baseman to guard the line. This has cut down those balls going right up the third base line for extra bases. Lastly my base running is good. I'm aggressive on the base path with
Gardner,Granderson,Jeter, and occasionally A-rod. I do get picked off from time to time, but
the reward are great,by running I gotten some meatball pitches that I've been able to drive. This further than I've ever gone in a video baseball season. I'd like to be finished with the season by August.

71-19 wow man thats a .710% now some here will say "time to up the difficulty" I say as long as you are having fun keep playing however you want to. I am 5-10 on my Tigers dynasty and am enjoying the callange but, I would imagine if I was 35-65 after 100 games I would start to play other games more.

Hello stlstudios189, Thank you for responding to my blog. I know that my record is really high, but the Red Sox have won 62 games,so they are still not out of it. I play the game on defaults, but most games aren't blow outs. I will be honest the prospect of playing all the games and losing at the end would not appeal to me. I don't restart games. I do lose games and I have injuries on (C.C Sabathia broke his hand and was on the 60 day DL). I applaud other who can play at the higher levels and can handle losing better than me. I wanted to answer you since you took the time to write. I wish you good luck in your dynasty.
