What a weekend

Friday evening I went out to Youtube and watched videos of MLB 10 the show being unboxed. The young and old all opening there games for the first time, and it reminded me of the day I got the game myself. It reminded me that MLB 10 the show is the most realistic video game going. So with me new found enthusiasm I was continuing my season as the the Yankees.
I took 2 of 3 from the L.A. Angels, and Teixiera started heating up. I win the first game against Baltimore and I'm feeling good. Then Disaster strikes today. First I lose a game 2-0 against Baltimore. Their Aging starter "Millwood" turns into Greg Maddux. I know I usually don't use opponents names but the guy went 7 strong innings. Then a reliever and the closer shut the door. I wanted to fire all of my player they were really crap today.
The worst news was that C.C Sabathia (who was really great in the game 10 strikeouts,no walks and 2 earned runs over 8-innings) fractured his pitching hand and will be out 2 to 3 months. This fact was not mentioned until after I finished the game and the game had automatically been saved. I will be honest if any of my front-line players get hurt during a game I will quit the game. Man talk about being angry. I have two choices. Start the season over a third time ( with no injuries). Continue without my Ace. If I continue without CC do I try to trade for another starter or bring up one of my triple-A guys.Mitre and Hughes in the rotation together would kill my bullpen. They are too weak neither is capable of going more than 5 inning. There is also a third option. I stop playing the season all together and just play individual games. I am committed to play "The Show" I won't go with "MLB 2K10". I wish I could just come to terms with the random feel of the game. I mean the game will never be a slam dunk easy at Veteran level for me. I can't afford to have my ace pither out, but my ego won't let me make the game easier with sliders and take off injuries. I will take the rest of the day off from the game. I will come to a decision tomorrow after "24".

Don't give up, don't ever give up. I'm sure you can find a pitcher to fit in there while he's out, i mean your offense should provide plenty of run support most of the time. Or make a trade for someone.

Flipsyde933. Thanks for the response. I want you know after taking a day off to think about it. I've Decided to continue. All of you point were excellent. I will also check the Free agent market see if there are any decent starters available. I put CC on the 60 day DL. I'm only in the last week of April. He should be back by Mid June. I'll see if there is anyway in Franchise mode training wise for me to increase Hughes and Mitres staminan.Thing are looking better Today. I try to post an screen shot of CC on the DL, and one with my record in the standnigs, so that everyone will know that I have continued.
