Both Basketball Videogames vs All other sport Titles
Posted on March 3, 2010 at 11:36 AM.
Its seems to me that when it comes to videogame representation of sports Basketball is bringing up the rear compared to the other games, Football (Madden) Hockey (EA NHL) Soccer (Fifa, PES) and Baseball (MLB The show) are always rated higher then either bball games that come out. After playing both bball games there are simple fundemental flaws that are easy fixes but seem to get ignored year in and year out, examples Nba 2k Dribble mechanics, when you dribble straight its fine but when you want to cut the players look like they are having a seizure on the court, no foot planting, were as live who has foot planting passing is the Achilles heel, swinging the ball around the perimeter is difficult because players don't come to the ball, but the defense does to pick it off, but also u can throw pinpoint passes 60 feet at will. Really? That has been around for a few years and 2k's dribbling has been bad since dreamcast. Also in Live you can hold turbo and the players never slow down online no matter how tired your player is, Could you imagine Reggie Bush In Madden Not getting tired with full sprint capabilities for a full game or Tom Brady throwing Hail Mary passes to Randy Moss and connecting on most of them ? The main reason Cavs Lakers Nuggets are usually the only teams you see online because of the abuse of the superstars on the respected teams. They dont get tired, they can dribble all day, Defenses part like the Red sea when they come to the hoop since you cant foul them. I just feel that Bball as popular in real life as it is does not get the attention it needs. .
