Very Balanced NFL Season

This 2009-10 NFL Football season has been one of the more balanced season in past recollection. Despite the fact that teams like the Colts (11-0), Saints (10-0) and the Vikings (10-1) have outstanding records they have not been winning blow outs. The Vikings have had many close games and at least 2 that they should have lost, 49ers on an amazing last second TD and the Ravens on a missed field goal. The Colts have had to work for their wins including a 4th quarter come back against the Texans, Manning has really shown why he is the elite quarterback in the NFL. And the Saints have had tough match-ups and have another coming up on Monday night.

All in all this season has proved to be unpredictable, games that seemed as though they should be blow outs, Bengals and Browns, have turned into exciting and entertaining match ups (except if you're a Bengals fan). Teams that started the year looking like bottom feeders including the Titans, Bills and Redskins have made huge improvements and now look like playoff caliber teams. Though it is extremely unlikely they will be able to make the playoffs it bodes well for players like Vince Young who has revitalized his career along with Ryan Fitzpatrick who looks better then anyone else has given him credit for.

The division races for the most part are close which include 4 divisions which are still up for grab and a couple more who are not out of reach. The Wild Card race this year will come down to each game making for amazingly entertaining and intense football, just the way it should be. A relatively quiet NFL season has proven to be one of the most watchable and fun in the past decade. The off-season stories of Michael Vick and Brett Favre are in the past and fans are looking forward to some great football to come. The 2009-10 Playoffs are setting up as good as any have been with many teams having the talent, coaching and ability to knock off any other team any given week. Cheers to great football!
