Why I don't play shooters

I know that some of the hotter games out there are like SOCOM or COD and that many of my fellow OS'ers enjoy playing them. However, I am one of the few that does not. There are legitimate reasons for this.

First, because of my physical disability, my reaction time and hand/eye coordination and reflexes aren't great. As a result, I'd get killed too quickly and too often as it is.

Second, I prefer sports games or action or fighting games.

Third, I don't think I have the patience for them.

But the weird thing is, I wanna play Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire, and get into the GTA series.

I'd absolutely recommend those games in a heartbeat. The games you mention are nothing like the COD quick-twitch first person shooter games. None of them would I even classify in the same category. Unless maybe you choose to play online on Red Dead your experience should be nothing like a COD game. But even with Red Dead, multiplayer is not the intent of the titles you listed.

In my humble opinion, as a gamer you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not playing the titles you listed.
