Magic of Madden

Let me start by saying this, I have bought and played every Madden game since 2000, that being said, the "magic" has worn off. I remember every year around June getting so excited about the "new" madden game, only to be disappointed by it. This was the truth even last year, but I am getting tired of being talked up to excitement only to have it be the previous years game with a few "enhancements". Now I am not saying that it hasn't improved over the years, because it has, I just don't think it is keeping up with the Joneses, the Joneses being MLB the show. I understand SCEA has more time to put into the game to make it great, but EA has the money to make Madden the best game out there. I don't think I will be waiting in line this year, although the tournaments and atmosphere are very fun, because I don't think it will be worth it. Now I most likely will buy Madden at some point in the year but the "Magic" has simply worn off and I'm not sure it will ever return.

The Madden team stated this year is all about re-inventing/innovating the career modes,... if the online franchise is not identical to the offline franchise this year,... consider me done with Madden!

I really hope they fix the gameplay, I am a pure offline franchise player and I hate seeing stats at the end of the year with 3 players rushing for 2000+ yards and 2 players with 50+ passing TD's. Irks the hell out of me! And maybe make the draft a little easier to work with, that would be nice.

im pretty sure nba 2k could be added to the "joneses" category...

and i feel you. ncaa 12 is def a midnight buy for me....i always try to hold back and not get madden. but the nfl excites me so much. i get it for franchise mode. and if they improved that this year...its going to be hard for me to resist....like it is every year...fml ha
