-Atlanta- The Falcons opened their 2015 season on the road in Carolina facing Cam Newton and the rest of the Panthers high powered team. Matt Ryan started the season off on the wrong foot by throwing 2 interceptions on the beginning two offensive drives of the season. Ryan said after the game "...its not really how you picture the season starting when thinking about it during the preseason but im glad the rest of the game didn't continue that way."
Ryan was able to settle down once Freeman started pounding the ball behind his offensive line starting off his season well rushing for over 100 yards and scoring a touch down. The passing game improved with the help of Julio Jones ,whose looking to have an impressive year,with a 65 yard catch and run for a touchdown his first of the season. The biggest impact came from Leonard Hankerson in his first career game as a falcons catching two touchdowns and catching for 96 yards. After the game Hankerson stated " I'm glad I can come right into offense and have an impact thats why I decided to come here this offseason. The presented me playing time and an opportunity to win. Lets just keep the momentum going."
