That's what NBA 2K12 for online quick games might as well be called. In last year's game there were tools to help counter the cheesers - reach in fouls were called at a decent rate, steal spamming wasn't a viable option, and if you drove to the paint ad-nauseum prepare to get blocked at a decent rate.

Now in 2K12, the ball is in the cheeser's court. They can bash the steal button and bash on turbo on offense and defense and not be heavily penalized - in fact they're usually rewarded with silly canamation steals. Drive to the paint? Fine, since block attempts are seemingly delayed leading to easy layups at will for the star players.

Any team you name - Heat, Thunder, Bulls, Lakers - their strategy is the same. Steal spam on D, since reach in fouls don't exist online. Drive to the paint since even when I time a block attempt right there's a delay leading to a made layup. Chuck 3 pointers since sliders this year are at 50. And throw in Full Court Press for good measure.

Nope, this isn't basketball. This is NBA 2K12 in online quick games, or as I'll call it for now on, NBA Jam 2K12. Thank you 2K for putting the game back into the cheeser's hands.
