I can't help but to feel excited about all the news and gameplay videos I've seen for 2k15. It looks as if they have really had a reality check, and are starting to move back in the direction that made them so great in the first place, as far as gameplay goes. The gameplay videos of the earlier builds have been nothing but inspiring to me, judging by the slowed down pace, defensive contact animations, and the lack of sliding.
Then there is MyLeague, which is a mode where I think Jesus stepped in and developed himself. Association mode where we can control EVERY ASPECT of the league? With manual Injuries? 30-team control? AND NO VC INVOLVED? Im sold. Thats were I'm going to be spending about 75% of my time this year.
The other 25% is going to be devoted to Online Leagues, where they have stated they have restored the modes functionality. Hopefully this means custom rosters and sliders. We have big plans for 2k15 with our upcoming league United Sim Gaming (we are still looking for heads too, so hit me up on twitter @quehouston), and it would suck for this mode to be unplayable like this past year.
As far as online ranked goes, I may dabble in it since I know that skill is going to play a bigger role in the outcome of games. Mike Wang gave us the new shot meter, which will, in my opinion, play a huge role in the amount of wins by luck that happen online. After pondering over this feature for a few days, I've come to realize that the shooting mechanic itself won't be much different, it's just the factors that play into the outcome of a shot are going to play a much bigger role, as they should. Finally we are going to be rewarded for playing good defense, and penalized for taking erratic shots. Hopefully with this, 2k will stop bailing out players with player ratings and signature skills.
With all the news and video that we have received on 2k15, I can help but believe 2k15 will be the new 2k11. Hopefully.....
