I remember being a 17 year old kid. Young. Jubilant. Competitive. Passionate. Skilled.
I just moved into my dorm room for my freshman year at East Carolina University. My first order of business (once I finally got my crying family out of there) was to set my PS3 up, and fire up my copy of NBA 2k10.
It was the summer, so we were nearing the end of the 2k10 cycle, though it was still a pretty fun game. I still played it very regularly, which is weird for me to say ... Read More

I can't help but to feel excited about all the news and gameplay videos I've seen for 2k15. It looks as if they have really had a reality check, and are starting to move back in the direction that made them so great in the first place, as far as gameplay goes. The gameplay videos of the earlier builds have been nothing but inspiring to me, judging by the slowed down pace, defensive contact animations, and the lack of sliding.

With all the news that has surfaced with next-gen 2k14, I'm finding it impossible to play the current gen version. I tried playing on like 3 different occasions yesterday, but couldn't finish one quarter of play.
With Real Player interviews, a super deep MyGM mode, and Online Leagues, I think I'll just sleep and dream until next thursday night.

Its no surprise NBA 2k's MyPlayer/MyCareer modes have grown to be extremely stale. These game modes have a lot of potential, yet they fail to deliver on their promise most years.

2k is stagnant.
Has been stagnant for years now.
Its the same old crap, that we buy year after year. Animations that don't make sense..Online exploits...Game freezes...And canned sequences that literally slide players out of the way in order to happen. 2k seems to never fix these issues, they just hide them behind new features that become extremely stale, like the shoe creator and Social Media. We mistake NBA 2k being a great basketball video game, with being the only ... Read More

These are a couple features that I would love to see in 2k13.
Player Introductions:
We saw this in past 2k basketball games, so I dont understand why they got away from this. But player introductions would add a whole new element to a game that already has excellent presentation.
Weekly/Pregame/Halftime/Postgame Shows:
This too is an element we saw in past games (even in last-gen games). It would be nice to see the commentators sitting at the desk breaking ... Read More

I remember when I used to be a NBA Live fan, back in the PS/PS2 days. NBA Live was THE NBA franchise to have on your console. They made a great game back then, and kept they're customers coming back every year.
My favorite and most memorable NBA Live of all time has to be 2005. That game was the epitome of what basketball games should have been on the last-gen systems. I had never experienced anything like the all-star weekend mode. I spent countless hours of my time on the Dunk Contest ... Read More
