20/21 Season Game 10 Tampa Bay Lightning @ Colorado Avalanche
Colorado took on Tampa Bay in a early season showdown that could be a Stanley Cup Final preiview. Though the two teams are loaded with offensive talent, the game was low scoring thanks to outstanding goaltending from Andre Vasilevskiy. The Lightning struck first midway through the first frame with a goal from captain Steven Stamkos. The Avalanche bombarded Vasilevskiy all night long but it took a greasy deflection from Nazem Kadri to finally beat the Russian netminder in the 2nd period. The 3rd period tightened up and neither team was able to find a breakthrough moment. The game headed to OT with the score tied 1-1. After typical frantic 3 on 3 play it looked like the game would be decided in a shootout. Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog had other ideas, as he was able to win the game with 5 seconds remaining in overtime.
