20/21 Season Game 9 Colorado Avalanche @ Philadelphia Flyers
Colorado hit the Wells Fargo Center ice looking to get revenge for a blowout home loss to the Flyers earlier in the season. It was obvious early in the 1st that the Avalanche came to play offensively. Carter Hart was bombarded with shots all night, not getting a lot of help from his defense in front of him. MacKinnon opened the scoring by utilizing his elite speed to generate and finish a chance off the rush. The Flyers scored a shorthanded tally to get the score tied heading into the intermission. The 2nd period was all Colorado, the Avs getting goals from Galchenyuk, Saad, and Landeskog. The Flyers didn't go down easy, outscoring the Avalanche 2-1 in the final frame, but the Avs skated away with a 5-3 win in an overall dominant offensive performance.
