You know what, I have been playing Madden 12 again lately. As I played this game I just started looking at everything involved in this game. After I finished playing, I reflected back on the old Madden games of 94 and 95. What I realized is that some of what I wished for back then is represented in this game of Madden 12.
I believe that as gamers we have been spoiled by some games or just want to believe that any game should have everything in it and cannot have any problems. But as I thought back to these old games, the gameplay was ok, I mean really if you set Madden 12 down beside Madden 95 no one in their right mind is going to play Madden 95.
Gamers need to really appreciate what we have in these video games. We have some games that are really nice. Going back 15 to 20 years are games we could have only dreamed about. But now we want all these different things, but when I look back on it we did not have expanded rosters, detailed weather, graphics, and highly repetitive animations. People complain about these animations, these animations are nothing compared to Madden 95 every play someone would be flipped just from blocking. So all in all when we started criticizing Madden 13 in a couple of months us gamers who were around when Madden started, just reflect back and think back to that time and what you actually wished for in a game. Then compare it to what we have. Now I would count NCAA imports, but that was not even an option back then. So just appreciate what we have.
