Pittsburgh Pirates Playoff Run

*So, I thought this would be a fun little thing to do. Here it goes*

The Pirates are 66-60 through 126 games of the season and making a run at the playoffs.

Hows that even possible you ask!

Well, you see in the world of MLB 10: The Show, apparently anything is possible! The team picked up six players that management thought would help the team and jeez! They were so right!

The team picked up:

First Baseman- Adrian Gonzalez
Closer- Heath Bell
Catcher- Joe Mauer
Right Fielder- Michael Cuddyer
Starting Pitcher- Ted Lilly
Starting Pitcher- Andy Pettite

And with that the team has gone 15-7 with those additions!

The teams Current Lineup:

1. Andrew McCutchen (CF)
2. Joe Mauer (C)
3. Garrett Jones (RF)
4. Adrian Gonzalez (1B)
5. Michael Cuddyer (2B)
6. Lastings Milledge (LF)
7. Andy LaRoche (3B)
8. Bobby Crosby (SS)
9. Pitchers Spot

However this lineup does not get used much because it seems someone else is always tired and needs to be sat down. Thankfully the bench has been playing great and they have been a huge help!

Bench Players

Ryan Doumit (Catcher, First Base, Right Field)
Akinori Iwamura (Third Base, Second Base)
Ryan Church (Right Field, Left Field, First Base)
Delwyn Young (Outfield, Second Base)
Ronny Cedeno (Shortstop, Second Base, Third Base)

Ryan Doumit and Ryan Church have been the biggest helps right now!

Pitching has also been great! The Ninth Inning seems to be my strongest as the Pirates have Octavio Dotel and Heath Bell to close it out. If one gets into a jam, just bring in the other. It works great!
