Today, the Pittsburgh Penguins have announced their new GM, Dan Kaminski. Mr. Kaminski is excited for the opportunity to work with the team and win Lord Stanley. After going 3-3 in the preseason and a two month loss of Chris Kunitz the Mr. Kaminski felt its time for a change to help the offense during the Kunitz's absence.
Pittsburgh Receives:
RJ Umberger
2012 7th Round Pick
Columbus Receives:
Paul Martin
GM Kaminski believes this was the right moves and looks forward to watching the team move forward with his new addition.

After simming the first season I have arrived at the start of season 2.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are poised for a great season after going 9-7 last year, missing the playoffs. The Steelers had a great free agency and draft over the off-season to build a younger team, yet be just as competitive. This is the current roster via the team Depth Chart:
The Steelers schedule looks like this:
1. at New York Jets
2. vs Dallas Cowboys
3. vs Cincinnati Bengals
4. vs San Diego Chargers
5. at Washington Redskins
6. vs Tennessee Titans
7. vs Denver Broncos
8. at Cleveland Browns
9. BYE
10. vs Baltimore Ravens
11. at Kansas City Chiefs
12. vs Philadelphia Eagles
13. vs Cleveland Browns
14. at Baltimore Ravens
15. at New York Giants
16. at Oakland Raiders
17. at Cincinnati Bengals
Coach Tomlin and the Steelers believe they can do really well with this schedule as they look to redeem themselves after a poor season the year before.

I recently came up with the idea of creating an "all stars" team for each division in baseball. I have not created the teams yet, but each division's team will be set on that last years division winners.
However, I have come up with how the tournament will work. The divisions that participated in last years World Series last year(National League West and American League West) will be given the first round bye. The first round will look like this:
AL CENTRAL (Minnesota Twins) at AL EAST (Tampa Bay Rays)
NL CENTRAL(Cincinnati Reds) at NL EAST (Philadelphia Phillies)
The tournament will follow the format of the MLB Postseason. First round will be a five game series, while the second and final rounds will be seven game series.
I will be starting work on each division's rosters soon and once they are all finished, I will post them on here. Then start the simulations.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have won the division with a record of 93 wins and 63 loses. They beat the Florida Marlins with a one game lead over the Saint Louis Cardinals. Pirates take on the Phillies in the NLDS.
Sadly, Andrew McCutchen is injured for the second time this season and with miss the post-season. Then, in an insane plot twist: The Texas Rangers offer the Pirates a trade that we couldn't refuse! Pirates recieve Vlad Guerrero in exchange for two minor leaguers.
And so, the pirates will have a really impressive lineup for the playoffs!
Lineup without DH
1. Lastings Milledge (CF)
2. Joe Mauer (C)
3. Garrett Jones (LF)
4. Adrian Gonzalez (1B)
5. Michael Cuddyer (2B)
6. Vladimir Guerroro (RF)
7. Andy LaRoche (3B)

9. (Pitcher)

*So, I thought this would be a fun little thing to do. Here it goes*
The Pirates are 66-60 through 126 games of the season and making a run at the playoffs.
Hows that even possible you ask!
Well, you see in the world of MLB 10: The Show, apparently anything is possible! The team picked up six players that management thought would help the team and jeez! They were so right!
The team picked up:

7. Andy LaRoche (3B)
8. Bobby Crosby (SS)
9. Pitchers Spot
However this lineup does not get used much because it seems someone else is always tired and needs to be sat down. Thankfully the bench has been playing great and they have been a huge help!
Bench Players
Pitching has also been great! The Ninth Inning seems to be my strongest as the Pirates have Octavio Dotel and Heath Bell to close it out. If one gets into a jam, just bring in the other. It works great!
Well thats all. There will be updates on the team.
Next Game: Cardinals @ Pirates. Game Three. Pirates look for a sweep.
