The Greatness of NCAA Football 07 (XBOX)

A couple of years ago, I picked up NCAA Football 07 used for around $20.

I let it sit in my bonepile for a long while, but I finally got around to playing it earlier this year.

Wow, what a game it is. I found a slider set here on OS, downloaded some rosters, and I am now having the time of my life with NCAA for the first time since 2003.

I am playing in a dynasty with my beloved alma mater, San Diego State. I have had some incredible games.

One game in particular in my first season...I got pummeled by TCU 35-13. TCU ran the ball 55 out of their 68 plays. They ran and ran and ran. It was insane, and unlike any NCAA game I have ever played.

Last night, I was up 38-24 at Georgia. Did they ditch their running game to come back? No......they threw 2 passes in the 4th quarter...ran over my beleagured defense and beat me 41-38. Wade ran for 278 yards and Georgia ran for over 350....while throwing less then 15 passes the whole game. Wow!

The playbooks....there has to be over 25 formations for the shotgun alone. The QB choice plays are insanely fun...and I can formation sub to put in my own version of the wildcat offense.

The original XBOX has, I feel, one of the greatest football games ever made, and it is NCAA Football 07.

I couldn't agree more. I regret selling my Xbox and 07 for a 360, these games just arent the same and arent as much fun.

Yup, I totally agree. I would have to say that the ps2 version of NCAA FOOTBALL 07 was amazing... I still play it on occasion. Can you imagine what it would be like to have next gen graphics combined with the 07 gameplay and presentation? Wow! I guess we can dream can't we...
