OFFENSE LEADS THE WAY IN PHILS' WIN OVER METS

PHILADELPHIA-The Mets got on the board early after Jose Reyes singled, reached second on a wild pitch, and his pinch-runner Daniel Murphy scored on a Carlos Beltran 2-out single-turned-double (because of the throw home) to shallow center field. The middle of the order would tie the game for the Phillies as Chase Utley hit a two-out double, and Ryan Howard hit one of his own.Shane Victorino kept the offense going with a single that moved Ryan Howard to 3rd. Domonic Brown then gave the Phils' the lead with a double that scored the two. Ben Francisco padded the lead to 4 with a two-run shot that just got into the left field seats.The Phillies continued to score runs as Cole Hamels singled and scored on a Jimmy Rollins double. Ryan Howard would later crush a no-doubter to right field off Chris Capuano to extend the lead to 7. Both teams would score two more runs each, but Cole Hamels shut down the Mets the rest of the game.
