Tony Reali, host: The Denver Broncos traded starting center Tom Nalen to the Baltimore Ravens today for a 2nd round pick in the 2010 draft. They also traded TE Daniel Graham to the Saints for a 2010 3rd round pick With rumors of Champ Bailey, Jay Cutler, D.J. Williams & Brandon Marshall all being available for trade the question is are the Broncos giving up on the season? Woody?

Woody Paige, panelist: As the one guy close to the story I can tell you that the Broncos are giving up on the season with an eye on the future. The trades today were of a 37 year old veteran and a mediocre TE that is making nearly $6 million this year and has 4 more years left on his deal. I think Coach Griffin is just trying to eliminate guys that won't be around for the long term & try to get something for them.

Kevin Blackistone, panelist: Yeah, but Woody you have an inexperienced Coach who is making his first go around in the league. On the surface it looks like the Broncos are giving up on the season which isn't a crime, but the new coach boldly predicted that they could win the division at his introductory presser. Now his actions seem to be a contradiction of his words. I don't think the Bronco fans deserve this. This coach seems to be way over his head.

Tim Cowlishaw, panelist: When the cowboys were 1-15 there was a chorus of people saying that Jimmy Johnson was way out of his league. He traded away what very little talent they had fo draft choices that became the foundation for a 3 time Super Bowl winning dynasty. With that being said, I don't believe that Jason Griffin is Jimmy Johnson. he seems to be lost as to what he really wants to accomplish. I can't see this ending well. the fans who complained that the Broncos should have hired Bill Cowher, don't fret it looks like Pat Bowlen will get another crack at it next off-season after he fires Griffin.

Jackie Macmullan, panelist: It's interesting that you mentioned firing because www.firejasongriffin.com was established earlier this week. I believe that Griffin will prove he can't build a team much the same way that Shanahan proved he couldn't. It's why you need a general manager & a Coach and not one guy filling both roles. It doesn't work.

Reali: Woody you get the last word.

Paige: The old Parcells line is that if he has to cook the meal he should get to shop for the groceries. As the only person on this show to have an in-depth interview with Griffin, I can say that I am impressed with him. He reminds me a lot of Mike Tomlin and the players have bought into what he is selling. I think he will be successful and I'm going to say he will lead the Broncos to a world championship in 3 years.

Cowlishaw: That's crazy.

Paige: Mark my words. Griffin gets it.
