I have an idea that deals with sports in only the sense that the outcome of it is based on that. My solution solves many big problems. Such as the national defecit, inmate over crowding and crime and poverty.

My idea involves taking all the death row inmates and all the life sentence prisoners and putting them in arena style gladiator games. (Think of the movie gladiator.) Put it on pay-per-view and all the proceeds go to the government which trickle back down to us. Since even tho they do the crime we ultiamtely pay for it in tax dollars to feed and house all these people. I bet people would pay good money to see this on pay-per-view.

This would help solve our debt with the proceeds, it would reduce prison numbers, and people might think twice about going to prison and doing time based on the fact that prison is no longer a free ride. The only problem I could foresee is people intentially committing crimes for the publicity and the chance to be on pay-per-view. Also as an incentive you would have to shorten or let the guy who won free. So sport can be used in way to possibly solve a few issues...

****obviously this is more for entertainment purposes so don't take this too seriously but a discussion is welcome.****

I've got a better one. I'm in favor of chain gangs in all 50 states. Clean up our highways and so on. I call it litterproof.
