After the team future become clear, the team made some moves.

Kyle Turris, who didn't wanted to stay in Phoenix was traded to the last SC champions Boston Bruins. In exchange, the Coyotes got Brad Marchand and Adam McQuaid, two important players for the Bruins, and Bruins first round pick, Dougie Hamilton.

Lee Stempkiak was traded do Colorado, and Phoenix got Ryan O'Reilly. Many experts considered this a very dumb move by Colorado.

The team made two moves that they didn't pay much, but has been paying dividends. The team adquired grinder Jake Dowell from the Dallas Stars, and defenseman Clayton Stoner from Minnessota. Dallas go a 4th round pick, and Minnesota a 2nd.

That could be the last season for the Coyotes at Phoenix, but after Jobing.com, who owns the team's arena, purchased the team for $200M, what guaranteed that the team would remain in Phoenix for the next 25 years.
