Dan Evans, 19, is preferred to James Ward and makes his Cup debut against Jerzy Janowicz in the second rubber.
Murray and Ross Hutchins will then play Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski in Saturday's doubles.
On Sunday the reverse singles match-ups bring the contest at Liverpool's Echo Arena to a close.
The winner of the Europe/Africa Zone play-off will hold on to their Group I status while the losers will be relegated to Group II.
Murray suffered a wrist injury at the US Open but said he hoped to be fit to play as many games as is necessary, and would not take his opponent or his fitness for granted.
"It is going to be tough. I plan on playing the three days but I will take it one day at a time and see how I am feeling," he said.
"I will just concentrate on Friday for now.
"I have got a match against a guy I don't know a whole lot about. We need to prepare for a tough match. If you prepare for an easy match and it ends up being tough you can start to panic a little.
"I am ready for it to be difficult."
Murray has won his last eight Davis Cup singles ties and believes Britain have the edge there.
His opening opponent, Przysiezny, is ranked 678 in the world, while Evans - ranked 302 - makes his bow against fellow teenager Jerzy Janowicz, who is ranked 41 places above the Briton at 261.
But Murray is expecting a tough test in doubles, with Matkowski and Fyrstenberg ranked in the world's top 10.
The Scot added: "In singles we should be the favourites but they have got a very good doubles team and we will have to play well.
"We also have to get the crowd into it as much as possible.
"The atmosphere is different to anything on the tour. Wimbledon is a little bit similar to a Davis Cup match. Some of the best atmospheres I have played in have been in Davis Cup.
"The only singles match I lost was against Switzerland, so I want to try and keep my unbeaten run going."
GB coach John Lloyd is delighted to have Murray on board after the Scot missed the defeat by Ukraine in March, and agreed the crowd could be a major factor.
"Andy said he was going to play earlier on and we are pleased to have him," he said.
"When you have someone who is as good as Andy it is a learning process for the rest of the team.
"We have never played Davis Cup here but obviously we know the traditions of the city when it comes to sport.
"Davis Cup is unlike other tournaments where sometimes it is a bit reserved. We want it to be very loud. That will help us.
"I think the crowd will be great as it is a fabulous arena and very intimate."
