I don't know what they've done over the last week or so, but the game plays TERRIBLY, now. Even more so than it already was. The controls are awful and it's more ping-pongy than it's ever been. I tried playing a match in my Manager Mode, last night, and just found myself yelling at the tv. No fun at all. Had to just calm down and turn that crap off. Now, they put out another patch that predictably has 95% to do with FUT. Personally, I can't wait for The Show to drop so that I can finally put this game to the side.

A. It's about time they fixed the goalies picking up back passes... now if they could fix hand balls...

B. Did they forget that they included a mode called "Career Mode"? Literally not a single update for it since the game released and every time they fix a bunch of stuff in FUT. This is insane. Especially compared to what the Madden Devs do for their Career Mode post-launch.

Sadly that is the way all sports games besides The Show are going. Nobody cares about offline anymore.

I wonder what is more realistic... The Show coming to the Xbox One or developers of Fifa actually caring about Career Mode. Both seem pretty impossible at this point

I just turned my game on, I did not receive a message about an update? Not sure if it's out yet but I did not see those two teams in the game. I also checked around online and I cannot find anything that says they are adding the teams.

Of course. Give yourself peace and realize it is never going to change. But no matter how much we express our justified dissatisfaction - we user has made FUT to a power factor, it's not EA !. Just to clarify I've never played FUT but did not bother The discussion for or against, the crowd has long since decided.

Let me correct that comment for you. Nobody at EA cares about off-line anymore. The majority of paying customers do.

It's all about making money off of coins. However if they were smart they could monetize career mode as well. Want to change the hairstyle of your youth player? Buy it from the coin store. Want to change his position? Buy it from the coin store. Want to change your kit color? Buy it from the coin store. Want to upgrade your stadium? Buy it from the coin store.

Sorry, I do not believe that . The reason many do not play FUT is because they will not spend money on it. The picture would not change if they chose to try to make money on the CM. Serious dont you think they have long studied the possibility ?, of course they have !.
Buy the way..

I'm just a career mode player and I'm thinking of giving up altogether on this game.

I only play career mode also but it's still fun if you can make an exciting career. I was ready to give up the decided to try a career with QPR, which was a new team and new league. It's been a lot of fun.

But if you give up on fifa, give PES17 a try to get your soccer fix. It's very fun.

Anyone that says that EA doesn't care needs to look at Madden this year. Even though MUT is massive they still constantly make game play and career mode improvements with patches throughout the year. EA FIFA is the company that does not care for the offline/career mode crowd at all.

That is completely correct. But let's hypothetically ask why ?. Because the answer lies in what they refer to themselves as a data network, instead of a game company. Yes, there are competent people among them certainly, but we think they should listen, they do not because they can afford to be "indifferent". But we users (FUT - yes i know we never play, but the world does!) has created this snow avalanche, then it's utopia and think we can stop it when it rolls and grows and... . But Fifa is also in many other ways an excellent football game that has come a long way since the beginning, it can no grievances change. But the idea that a firm has become so big and can do pretty much what it ought to, should put thoughts in progress, but I guarantee that virtually all here will buy Fifa18, including yours truly.- thats power!.

Maybe I'll try to start with a new team. I've only used Leeds United since the original XBOX days.

No Atlanta United? Sheesh. I am not a soccer fan but I have had fun playing because I don't know that much about the game so I'm just aimlessly having fun, unilke with Football or Baseball when gameplay problems frustrate me. Plus I'm trying to learn the game because of the Atlanta team and my young kids will undoubtedly play the game in the next few years. I've even got a controller into my wife's hands, she played in college. But really a new MLS team that is doing well so far and we can't even get their kits in the game for FUT? C'mon EA!

When FIFA 17 was in pre-release the OS people had FIFA ranked as the number one sports game. I've got to say now it's near the bottom of sports games. What a disaster of a year! It's simply unplayable and their contempt for people who don't play FUT is brazen.

It seems to me they make the game more arcady (esp. online) just in time for the school holidays. Coincidence?

EA don't do coincidence.
