I wonder how many cutscenes and choice selections we'll get as we progress further and further into our careers.
It makes sense that there's a lot in the beginning as a minor leaguer trying to make it to the the bigs, but I wonder how much we'll see when we're 27 or something and a perennial all star.
I also wonder what these choices will look like for a pitcher. What differences will there be (if any) between a position player and a pitcher in terms various non-linear trajectories based on your choices?
All in all, I'm excited for some new life being brought to RTTS! Can't wait to see what's in store!
I hope so! I always enjoy when I have the fortune of having a RTTS pitcher getting called up to the bigs who spends time in the bullpen before cracking into the rotation.
I planned on making a SP in RTTS in '17 but as many of you asked, I don't know how much of a PYP a SP can have. Especially if they're pitching well. It'd be unlikely to ask them to move to the bullpen if they are having success in the rotation.

Maybe ask you to change pitches? Like drop your slider from your repertoire and start throwing a curveball instead. Or maybe ask you to drop lower in the rotation because they want to give another prospect more innings? Just throwing some ideas out there.
Was worried with the RPG aspect to RTTS it would be like NBA where our "path" is already paved for us. I should know by now to trust the guys at Sony, good to see we are really able to pave our own path. That conversation with the Angels was hilarious
Maybe Mike Trout should have spoken up like Joe Random,
he coulda been somebody, he coulda been a contender.

Jokes aside, it'll be interesting to try all different options out, I'll mostly do all the good options but I wanna see what'll happen in some situations with the "bad" ones.
I'm definitely excited to see pave your path expanded on in future iterations. Maybe give us a rival in the future. Like as a pitcher we have a hitter we face off against, and pitcher when we're a hitter, and we can be cool to each other, friendly rivals or I wanna beat this guy down kind of rivals based on how we the player respond.
Narrator gives off a solid Ron Howard Arrested Development vibe.

'“Buster so excelled at being neither seen, nor heard, that he remained at the school, undetected for a full two semesters after he was supposed to graduate.”

That would be kinda cool. I know there are teams that restrict certain pitches, even if they deny it. lol. I remember Brandon McCarthy complaining after he was traded from the D-Backs that they would let him throw his cutter.

I like the rivals idea as long as it's done organically in my opinion. Let's say you haven't hit well against someone throughout your career who was drafted in the same draft, or simply someone you're being compared to in the league because you have similar stats, always neck and neck for the same award(s)/all-star game, come from the same college, or simply you're both among the best at your position. Anything organic along those lines I'd be up for.
