This isn't the problem. The Indians jersey shows dark portions but the areas where light hits it the most it is brighter and correct. The Jays red jersey is just burgundy. Even the brightest areas are too dark.

Those Griffeys tho

Zooming in on the Ozuna pic it looks like the Marlins don't have that 2nd silver lining around the collar piping that mysteriously showed up in that Dee Gordon pic comparing Gordon's face in 16 and in 17.

It is, just have to right click the image and search google for it. Comes up as a MLB 16 screen shot.

I believe Ramone even confirmed that the trailer where that screen was pulled from was built using the MLB 16 engine.

And besides, "pre-beta" , as in Alpha phase, is usually an indicator that features are far from complete. I'd say for the San Diego team, maybe they don't even get into full Beta testing until the last few weeks prior to release - after they have art freeze, and general coding lockdown where no more code is being added unless it is to fix a bug. Maybe features that were finished entered testing several weeks ago.

It is pre-footage, from before 16.

While the jerseys do look better, there's still a stiffness to them, but I'm willing to overlook it this year since the game overall is shaping up to look much better visually. However, I REALLY hope they make the jerseys and overall uniform have better cloth physics and wind effect next year.

They've done a lot to the visuals this year and have said that last year the player models didn't match up to the higher quality environments around them so I have to believe they know cloth needs some work so fingers crossed that it's on the top of their list for next year's game.

I see they gave Colby Rasmus his Civil War reenactment beard. Curious if Evan Longoria got some love with his new look. He's had it all spring.

Hunter Pence also ditched the beard and is now clean shaved.

Will never understand why Rogers Centre has 85% or more of the fans in red. Been like that for years in the game and never fixed. It should be 95% blue with maybe 75% red on Canada Day only. It makes no sense.

Sorry about that. I probably should have made it clear that the first screenshot was from 16...
