Did anybody else notice the first baseman not digging the ball successfully on that ground ball? Am I correct in the show 16 the 1B always dug the ball? If so it's a positive development.
@ 0:51, nice example of a new line drive style from the new ball physics, and immediately followed up by nice example of the new catch -> throw transition branches/animations.
damn that fielding cam is sweet!
Russ please tell us we can turn off the HR cam and all balls in play will look fantastic!
I'm not sure about other modes but in manage mode I use press box view with high fielding camera. Pitcher/batter view is higher but fielding view in the video looks similar to high camera.
This mode is going to be so awesome. Usually I did these kind things gimmicky, but it really is old school games with insane graphics and physics. Seems very fun.
One thing i Did notice: why does the ball coming out of Greinke's hand look like a super bright white softball compared to when Gray is pitching? Does it have to do with difficulty level maybe?
Something about Retro Mode just doesn't look right with modern uniforms.
Hoping the uniform selection screen is there. I'm using exclusively, nothing but throwbacks, and occasional modern-throwbacks in Retro Mode.
I want to be completely immersed in D'Backs purple and the Rockies old solid black "Rockies" throwback alternate.
Highly doubt it's in, but hoping beyond hope there's some Expos throwbacks on the Nats. Probably not, but it would throw Retro Mode over the top.
I was hoping we'd get a domed stadium with AstroTurf. I don't think metronome was turf or any others in the game. Astrodome or Kingdome next year would be great with old school unis.
Looks fun. I'm a little younger than you guys, the first MLB game I played was in 04. Don't think it'll get a lot of playing time, maybe just to get Trophies/Missions but otherwise I love that camera view. Will be using that as default fielding/in play offense canera

I saw the same thing and thought it had to do with playing on offense versus defense. Strangely, I'd think it would be switched if anything (ball is whiter on defense).
I'm always for options though and hope it can be switched, completely enabled, completely disabled, etc. Somehow I doubt that though.
