Derek, the designer from NEW ERA, sits down with Ramone and Gil, the designers from Sony Interactive Entertainment San Diego to talk about the MLB The Show x NEW ERA 9FIFTY hat.

The hat is created exclusively, and in limited quantities, only at GameStop, for fans that purchase the Hall of Fame Edition of MLB The Show 17.

Cap logo looks stitched in game instead of painted on. Hopefully team hats follow suit as well this year.

Maybe that means we'll get 3D looking batting helmet logos too but that's only for a couple teams so I don't know...

Cool video, but that's one ugly hat.

(the actual hat, not how it looks in-game)

Disclaimer: I tend to stick to the basics when it comes to hats, but I'm sure others will love this.

I like the hat but why did it have to be a snapback ugh. It should have been stretch fitted.

Easier to produce and dish out to the customers because the stretch fitted new eras come in multiple sizes instead of one-size-fits-all.

Yeah but certain versions are one size fits all and then others have the small-med vs large-xl versions

The point still stands though they'd have to make multiple versions of different sizes and you can't possibly know the sizes of the customers walking into gamestop to get the cap. The one size fits all snapback is the easiest and most cost effective way to do this promotion.

if you were gonna purchase the $100 game theres really no point to complain about the hat. I hate snapbacks too but I was already getting the $100 game. Thats just a bonus really.

I just now got around to watching the vid. Looks like they have PBR active on the in-game hat. In other words, it looks promising that players will have PBR on them this year. Uniforms, skin, hair??

I think some of us is forgetting this commemorative giveaway when you purchase a Hall of Fame edition of MLBTS 17. It is not meant to be sold at LIDS or on New Era website only for purchaser's of this particular copy of the game. It is paying homage to #24 Griffey Jr. It is a cool cap. Not a waste of resources!

Now I don't understand why it might be in the editing screen, but we'll find out soon. Chill!
