UPDATE: EA States They Are Not Presently Making Skate 4

Daniel Lingen, Sr. Manager at EA, tweeted a #SKATE 4 hashtag early this morning. Is this a sign of things to come or is this some sort of cruel joke?

Skate 3 released on May 11, 2010 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and more recently released on Xbox One’s backward compatibility program on November 10, 2016. EA also plans to release Skate 3 on EA Access later this year.

Is Skate 4 something you are interested in? Post your thoughts on the rumor.

UPDATE: (1-31) In today's Electronic Arts Q3 2017 earnings conference call, CEO Andrew Wilson stated, EA is "not presently making Skate 4".

Yup seen this coming. Extreme sports making a comeback. Steep in the winter. Skate in the summer. Ill be in heaven in this turns out.

I hate to be that guy, but I'm not buying it. There have been tons of rumors for years and nothing ever came of them. Maybe this was a test to see how many people were interested, and the fact it only has 16k favorites doesn't really look good. I could very well be wrong, and I sincerely hope I am. Skate would be amazing on Current Gen.

I agree that the tweet does act as some sort of test. But I do think it's in development in some capacity, perhaps the tweet as a gauge to how much investment should go into the development.

As a guy who was #1 on skate 1 and 2 for PS3 and # 1 on skate 3 for Xbox 360, I have to say I'm pretty excited.
