Project CARS Free in February Games with Gold Program

Xbox Live Gold members are scheduled to receive 4 more games in the month of February, as part of the Games with Gold program. Project CARS is one of the games included, arriving on February 16 through March 15.

Other games included for the month of February include Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime on Xbox One, along with Monkey Island 2: Special Edition and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for Xbox 360.

That's a very odd question to ask about a free game.

Project Cars is a very good racing sim if you find controller settings that suit you. The game was made for PCs with racing wheels, so the controller settings are awful out of the box.

It took me the better part of a month to tinker with controller settings and find the magic formula. But once I did, the game became one of the better pure console racing sims I've played.

Great mix of real race cars in various disciplines and real-life tracks.

Seconding pk500.

I will add that AI is a mixed bag and can depending on the discipline your using. Example: I find myself being driven right through in Formula B (akin to Formula SuperLeague/GP2) but having fun in GT3.

There are bugs that aren't going away; rumor has it that p.Cars 2 will drop in September so they're focused there.

For a free download, I recommend it.
