It works with existing saves.

Also, I don't understand the hate that some of you guys have towards this patch. I think it improved the game greatly. Especially the PL Presentation.

Sweet to see updated pictures for Cornet and Gabriel barbosa. Don't remember them doing that last year

I hated the game before the patch and I still hate it after. Lack of skill moves, Superman goal keepers, and every single player being great defenders are a few of the reasons. Players feel like they're moving in quicksand.

Man, I've seen a lot of videos of the game post-patch and it plays great. I'm playing it right now...it's playing terrible. Pace is up 100%, slider tweaks don't seem to help that. CPU literally ran straight at me with no passing 15 times in one game. Just kept running in an almost straight line.

I have no idea why.

I don't know about anyone else, but the game seems to me to have gotten much harder since the patch. I'm not a brilliant player, and I play on PS4 at Professional with no sliders. I can usually win most matches, but lose and draw enough to stop me running away with cups and titles.

However, since the patch it seems much more difficult to win matches. My passes go more astray, through-balls run on just a bit too far, shots go awry. Meanwhile, the CPU seems super-powered. Shots are blocked, defenders seem to have telescopic legs to make tackles, their passing is always crisp and fast and their shots seem much more accurate.

Worst of all for me, fast wingers and attackers seem totally nerfed. Usually I could send a winger down the flank and he'd burn off the full-back. Now he almost immediately gets tackled or bumped off the ball.

With the stamina bars now not working this has sent the game backwards for me. Poor work EA.

It also seems that the double-tap low-driven shot has been nerfed too. I just cannot get one to work now. I either blaze the ball over the bar or sidefoot it weakly at the keeper.

I played one 20 minute game last night (WC) and enjoyed it. Less tiki taka from the CPU and (maybe coincidental) lower passing %s for both teams. I was Arsenal playing Middlesbrough, and it actually felt like I was at an advantage for having a better team, which can't always be said on World Class or Legendary. Anxious to play my next game against a powerhouse, hoping it will prove to be a far greater challenge. The BPL presentation is gorgeous, by the way.

I don't find the game to play any faster at all, not sure where all that talk is coming from.

Definitely not finding the game being any faster either.

Gotta quickly double tap the shoot button now.

I agree 100%. I've never lost at all on professional but today I played my first match post patch and I got killed. It wasn't even against a good team. I was Spurs and it was a preseason game against a nobody Asian league team or something. Game definitely feels off

Well I've moved up to world class since that and had to go back because since the patch I've been getting creamed. And now I'm getting creamed on professional.

I played the exact game, pre- and then post-patch.

The game appeared to play a bit faster and it certainly seemed more difficult. Defenders were able to close down gaps much quicker.

It was just one game though.

My first game after the patch was at home vs. Watford (with me as my now-established Nottingham Forest). I lost 0-3 and two of their goals were absolute wonder-strikes: first-time shots that rocketed past my keeper.

Having played a bit more what's bugging me now is that the game doesn't seem to be fairly reflecting what I'm trying to do. It feels like I've lost a bit of control. Finesse shots which were going in pre-patch are now, with the same players, going wide. That kind of thing.

Wow, crazy that I had such a different experience. Wondering now if it was a fluke, but I usually struggle to beat World Class, and this time I played so well that I checked the settings afterwards to make sure I hadn't changed it to Pro somehow.

The passing is more responsive, which seemed to allow me to beat their pressure more often than not, and they just weren't passing the ball as precisely as usual. I think I won possession like 60/40 and almost doubled their shot attempts, although that's pretty realistic for Arsenal vs Middlesbrough. Dying to play more, this game has got its hooks in me now.

Jesus Christ! I think I may have to go back to semi-pro! How did the patch manage to make this game so HARD? Also, I swear I think some of the sliders are backwards. The CPU defenders weren't letting me breathe, so I dropped their marking down to 48 and they came at me even HARDER!!

# 76 Mizzou24 @ 10/21/16 11:15 PM
It took me a handful of games on world class to get the hang of it but it got better I just had to be more patient on my attacks. However the offense of the other hand is a lot better for the cpu now and I'm totally for it

Well, I finally won a match after drawing in the first three. Had to fight Spurs to the death for a 2-1 win. I guess I should look it as at least I haven't LOST, yet.

First time playing with the new patch and wow it's totally different playing the CPU. First two games I lost and the third I eeked out a 2-1 win, all on professional. Before I rarely lost on professional. I do like the CPU is now so much more aggressive with crosses and threw passes forcing you to defend but dang, it' s a huge step up from where it was before. May have to go back to semi-pro lol.

Don't even bother to try and defend, keep your controller marker on an attacker and stay near midfield and let the teammate AI defend for you, yes it's unethical but that's what's given to us by the game.
