Well done KG.

Still deciding which way to go with ML. All options look like fun, especially with the updated option files.

Nice,

I have been trying to decide between Serie B and La Liga 2 on which league to start with.

I started in La Liga 2 (RCD Mallorca - liked their uniforms) with the default rosters. Even on regular difficulty, I am struggling with these guys but I am up to the challenge. Made a few signings to get some low 70's free agents to boost the team a bit. Having fun thus far.

Haven't started my ML yet, still doing some minor editing. (I hate generic shoes) Was planning on taking a team in Liga NOS, other than the big 3, and turning them into a Portuguese powerhouse. Either that or another league I haven't played like Ligue 1 or Eredivisie.

I've started with the Go Ahead Eagles in the Eredivisie. ML default players of course. It has been a real struggle so far, but a few loan signings have boosted our spirits lately. I'm enjoying myself far too much, even when I lose.

I like the mercenary idea. I started a weak team in Ligue 2, and I'm planning to move around quite a bit before I do a ML with a team I really love, like Man Utd or Milan.

Thanks Zook! I was debating on whether to use

Lyon
Everton
Rayo Vallecano

I ultimately decided on Rayo because:

They are truly Madrid's little brother
They have great kits of course
Playing in Spain and trying to get on Barca/Real/Atletico's level is a true challenge in PES

Liga2 isn't bad so far. Last year I played a ton of FIFA 16 CM as Milan so I wanted a change of scenery this year. I don't want to brag but I did lead Milan back to glory with 4 straight Scudetto's, 2 Champions League titles AND an entire season undefeated. Take that you Gooner!

I am getting my butt handed to me with the default players. I raised some cash but couldn't get too many good players to want to join my side. Those Go Ahead kits look like they're sponsored by McDonalds lol.

I played a ton of PES 2015 as Ligue 2 side Clermont Foot. Again, they had incredible kits. Managed to get lead them to a 2nd place Ligue 1 finish but could never dethrone PSG. If you have the time you could always try to work your way to that club. By then a lot of the big guns could be gone at United but I'm sure they'll replace them and you could really put your stamp on the squad.

I'm waiting for the tactics for the Championship to be done before starting properly so I'm doing a Man U.
But I've been making the players in my Football Manager team of youth products in BAL and saving them into my ML youth team. Though currently they aren't good enough to get in the team over the glorious players already in there, several of whom I'd started to fall in love with already. I'm hopeful that I can develop my youth team into either being serviceable players, or to generate a nice profit so I can say to myself - Yeah, I have enough money to upgrade my stadium. Not that it matters, but I've started with PES United and made my home ground "Sports Park" which looks like it seats about 12 people. When I get to a certain amount of money in the bank I will upgrade it to a better one. I apparently have become far too immersed in my small fiction

Yeah losing Steve Mandanda has really hurt the team. IMO, he is one of the most underrated Goalkeepers in the World, crazy to think he went to Crystal Palace on free.

Losing him and Batshuayi have hurt for sure. Gomis is decent, but our goal feels so much wider for strikers without Mandanda in it. Management didn't strengthen the team, just lost players.

When you list all the players OM sold this last couple of years without significant replacement (with exception of the lucky landing of Lass) despite the money they made, it is easy to understand that they are struggling this year.

(Payet, A Ayew, Imbulla, Michy, Mandanda, N'Koulou, Mendy, Lemina...)

If you add to that a coach that is very unexperienced and is forced to make use of the youth academy which has never been a strength of the club, this season will be quite long and painful.

Let see what are the new investor plan, but I doubt the team will finish anywhere close to European spot this year.

It is also my plan to do ML with them and try to bring them back to glorious days. The amount of money they have at the start of a ML is quite important (25MEuros) compared to their recent spending. The venue of Frank McCourt, with hopefully some fresh cash fueled in the club, makes it a bit more realistic. I am still wandering if I will wait the January transfer window before starting strengthening the team for realism sake.
