The pick and roll, perhaps the most classic of all of the NBA offensive techniques.
In case you are unfamiliar with what the pick and roll is, it is one of the most basic but yet effective offensive sets in the NBA. A player (typically a post player) comes into the back court to set a screen for a guard or small forward.
As the guard (we'll call him that in this case) dribbles to initiate the screen the post player setting the screen slips towards the basket as soon as the screen is set. The goal of this play is one of two things happens...either the roller (the post player) is open for an easy bucket in the lane or the guard gets free from the screen and himself has an open mid range jumper or a drive to the basket.
So how to defend this thing in NBA 2K17? There are a few techniques, we're checking in with YouTuber Sam Phan in the video above for some tips.
