Forza Horizon 3 News Post

Pack your bags and make sure to include a lot of sunscreen because we are heading down under folks. Australia is the location for developer Playground's newest Forza title, and it’s the studio's best yet. Forza Horizon 3 is back, and it slowly rolls by its competition while taking off its sunglasses to say, “We both know I'm better than you.”

Whether blazing down a highway of Australia’s Pacific Coast, or taking on the natural elements of the Aussie Outback, FH3 puts you behind the wheel of some of the world’s most exotic and not so exotic vehicles, and every single one of them is a new adventure in waiting.

This game is Test Drive Unlimited 1,BurnOut Paradise and Motorstorm all wrapped into one.

And then? with the BEST of what Forza has to offer in Cars and Customization...

I cant wait til i can unluck all the rally cars and skins and just explore

The festival stuff is boring Never cared for any of it unless it was TRUE rally ones.

Is it better than Forza Horizon 2? No but its different and worth it separately.

Surprisingly both titles stand up toe to toe technically-wise side by side.

MotorSport 6 is a completely different game but you still get Motorsports 6's detail with Horizon 3.

System Seller No Brainer.

The scenery is much more varied than Horizon 2.

Horizon 1 had GREAT DLC with its Rally based races and cars.

For me. This game is perfect and the horizon series in general(once we got to go off road free roam) for rally cars. Heres to hoping we get some as DLC.

I got a good 3-4 hours in yesterday. What a blast. Just as I expected, and I've only ran a small handful of races. Spent most of the time just driving around, exploring, wreaking havoc all over Austrailia. I spent so much time in the shipwreck sands area just cruising (and flying lol) around.

I'm a little surprised they went back to a FH1 style of opening up events. I thought the FH2 way was nice, but it did get a bit repetitive. Drive to a city, run 4 races. Drive to next, rinse, repeat. I guess it's the same here in FH3 now though, but the addition of the street races (I was surprised how long the first one I ran was) provides extra to do, while working through the handful of events that open.

Maybe it's just not all unlocked yet, but I feel like the map is... smaller than that of FH2. There seems to be the same amount of roads and stuff, somewhere like 490 or so, but everything seems a bit more compressed. Maybe that's just me. Also though, that being said the area may be a bit tighter, but you can do so much more within that space.

I guess the Clubs section won't unlock until the official release date? The Clubs screen is still greyed out for me on the gameplay pause menu's. I can see this game eating up tons of hours for me, just as FH2 did and I don't even feel bad about it!

Yeah some of the road trips seemed longer in fh2. In 3 though you don't even have to follow the road, is so open.

The lighting in overcast and rain is very similar to forza 6 which was already stellar.

Everything just works in this game.

MINUS the fact that theres no proper mini cooper countryman or abarth 500x ALL4

I just want the clubs section to open up so we can get an OSOS club again!

Is there a list out there of the cars yet?

So apparently you have to unlock 3 festival sites, and upgrade them to at least L2 or 3 (conflicting reports out there) before the clubs tab will activate. Activating it will apparently let you create a club, and once it's created, the leader can invite other members. That will apparently work whether its unlocked for you, or not. Seems.... odd, but thats apparently how it is.

If you buy it digitally you should get it for both platforms, wherever you get it from that should be the case. Most common sources though are the Microsoft Store and Xbox Live though.

Correct, the initial vision for the Xbox One would have, but there is no license management for physical titles so you can't get the PC version for buying a physical copy.
