Official Madden NFL 17 Roster Update For Week 1 Available Now

The official Madden NFL 17 roster update for week 1 is available now. These weekly roster updates include changes to player ratings, depth charts, and injuries for all 32 teams.

You can check all of the changes here, along with a new blog here. We've listed some of the changes below.

How does a player lose 2 overall points when he had a great camp but was sideline by a hamstring and didn't play until 3rd game.

But yet a player like romo who broke his back overall stays the same at 86???

And we haven't even played a game yet.

Why would Mingo go down a point when he absolutely killed it this pre-season?? He was all over the field tearing it up.

Can only say this so many times:

Stop looking at overall ratings guys. They mean absolutely nothing, especially now with Formation Subs.

Look at individual ratings for strengths and weaknesses,

We can copy players from a community roster into the official one? Is there a thread explaining this in more detail?

So with the Eagles not having the picks from the trades I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about getting them on there.

If I out Bradford back on the Eagles then start a franchise as Eagles and Vikings, trade then retire the Vikings will they still have the same coach or will it be replaced?

Don't do coach but an owner, but yeah that's pretty much it.

Just start a franchise with Bradford on the Vikings and then when you start, create an additional character (head coach or owner) for the Vikings and then trade their 1st, 4th, and an additional random pick for any pick on the Eagles. Then once that goes through make another trade to swap back the extra pick you added for your original pick. Then retire the Viking character.

When I did the mingo trade when first happen in test cfm...all I did was put mingo in trade and selected pats went to draft picks put the pick they got for him selected go through with trade and it worked. I didn't have select a different person.

I put Bradford on Eagles in main menu. Then made the trade in my offline all32 cfm

Eagles roster had 2 guys on IR and ea didn't fill it.

Also don't know if it was mentioned but they forgot Stevie Johnson is out for the year (appears healthy and on SD active roster) Smh.

Browns are missing #41 CB Tracy Howard ..u have a PS player and another special teams player he's our 4th CB...but not a starting player??

Also u have the defensive ends on wrong side u have players playing LDE who are on RDE side so that needs fixed next update.

Besides that rest of team is right.

I think it's a fair bet that most of the players that are missing weren't licensed or approved by the NFLPA in time for this update.

That's actually not the case and it's being used as an excuse. The NFLPA rules are different from baseball per se. In the default rosters there are undrafted FAs included just like current players, many who weren't added in have been on NFL rosters previous seasons. I don't know what happened but either something went wrong in the process and they ran out of time or they misjudged their audience and figured the people waiting for this roster were for play now or online. Those are the only two reasons I can see bring short on players or leaving out certain injuries.

More disappointing discoveries, ea did not put Tony Romo on injured list either. Who the hell does these rosters? What is their QA process? SMH.
